World Cup Eve for the USNMT: A New York Times Feature on Jurgen Klinsmann

As American soccer fans (new and old) wait for the United States national men’s soccer team’s first Group G match in the 2014 FIFA World Cup against Ghana (which takes place Monday, June 16, 2014, 6:00 PM; Estádio das Dunas, Natal), a good read on the team’s coach, Jurgen Klinsmann, was featured in the The New York Times Magazine. In the June 4, 2014, piece, Sam Borden (the European sports correspondent for The New York Times) describes the long-term plan of Klinsmann for US Soccer, including some unpopular decisions he made leading up to the 2014 World Cup.
