Sports Illustrated.com’s Michael McCann authored a great summary on the legal issues facing the National Basketball Association (NBA) and Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling concerning alleged racist comments made by Sterling and captured on an audiotape. Specifically, McCann analyzing various issues the NBA will have to consider during and after its investigation, including: confirming the authenticity of the recording; and defending a possible lawsuit by Sterling against the NBA for “breach of the Clippers franchise agreement or for violations of federal and state antitrust law.”
